brother vs robot: On Performing Live Visuals

  • Synth Library Portland 1256 Lloyd Center Portland, OR, 97232 United States (map)

Join multimedia artist Brother vs Robot for a hands-on workshop exploring live visual performance techniques used in Portland’s electronic music scene. As the resident visual projectionist for events like Modbang, Cyberpunk Disko, and Inversion, Brother vs Robot will demonstrate his visual rig in action—including the Critter & Guitari EYESY video synth, the VSPERI WAAAVE_POOL, and live camera feedback setups. Participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at how these tools are blended in real-time to create immersive stage visuals.

About the Artist:
Brother vs Robot is the music and visual project of Portland-based artist Colin Robson. He creates genre-fluid dance music using hardware samplers, modular synths, and live instrumentation. His performances combine tightly constructed beats with reactive visuals, forming a distinct audio-visual experience rooted in rhythm and real-time hardware interaction.
